Human Rights on Camera in the Palestinian West Bank

In 2007, the Israeli NGO B'Tselem (The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories) launched its camera project, distributing video cameras and providing camera training to Palestinians living in areas of the West Bank, where tensions run high and clashes are commonplace. Israeli filmmaker Helen Yanovosky, a core member of the B'Tselem video project, will discuss the history of the project and the importance of cameras and filmmaking to Palestinians living under occupation.A light lunch will be served.Cover art: David Reeb.
