Jerusalem Fifty Years On: United or Occupied?

Thursday, November 16, 2017 - 11:45am

Daniel Seidemann

Fifty years since 1967, and the dissonance between official Israel and much of the rest of the world is stark. With the former celebrating the jubilee of "a united Jerusalem," other stakeholders are commemorating fifty years of the occupation of East Jerusalem. What is the state of play in Jerusalem? Is it undivided, occupied - or perhaps both? What is the current trajectory of the conflict in the city, and how does it interface with the broader geopolitical dynamics between Israelis and Palestinians?A light lunch will be served.Cover art: David Reeb.
